With sounds gathered from the landscapes of the American southwest, the music of 'chris and thomas' could just as easily find its home in the rainy hills of the early 1970's English countryside. Combining American roots instrumentation with soothing vocal harmonies, the duo’s rustic sounds and heartfelt songs are filled with thoughtful lyricism, harkening back to the likes of Nick Drake, Simon & Garfunkel, Bob Dylan and the late Beatles.

The very first time chris and thomas met was in a train station in Northern England where they had been chosen as two of 40 musicians from around the world to study at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, a small unique art institute founded in 1995 by Sir Paul McCartney.
In 2003 chris and thomas moved to Los Angeles where they began writing their songs together debuting on Nov.18th 2003 at the Hotel Café opening for singer/ songwriter Alexi Murdoch. With their unique way of performing live, chris and thomas quickly made themselves a name in the Los Angeles club circuit, playing with just one condenser microphone, gathering around it like some modern day Carter Family.
Since then a lot has happened. Nic Harcourt, tastemaker of the No.1 syndicated radio show in the US, 'Morning Becomes Eclectic' (KCRW 89.9 Los Angeles) has continuously played their self released EP "Vista Street Sessions" not only on his daily show but also on his national two hour best of Sunday evening show 'Sounds Eclectic'. An on air performance followed with appearances at SXSW and other venues and festivals throughout the country. More radio stations have added chris and thomas to their playlists as their fan base grows not only nationally, but also in continental Europe and in the UK. Chris and thomas have now signed with a major management company in Los Angeles and will be releasing their first full length record in 2006.
Chris and thomas' beautifully woven harmonies and sparse instrumentation will make you think of big skies with small clouds…
