Mick Hanly
Singer/Songwriter Mick Hanly has been around the block more times than most and has tried on a variety of hats in search of his own voice.
Starting his career on the Folk circuit in the 1970s he made a couple of folk albums, 'A Kiss In The Morning Early', and, 'As I Went Over Blackwater', for the Mulligan label, before turning his hand to song writing.

He fronted Moving Hearts for a spell in the early 1980s, singing on their, 'Live Hearts', album. He then formed his own band, Rusty Old Halo, leaving one album with Warners called, 'Still Not Cured'.
After a series of albums for the now defunct Round Tower label, Mick Hanly established his own song-writing style, which he has been honing to good effect since. He had a major hit with his song, 'Past the Point of Rescue', Stateside in 1992 and picked up three BMI awards, most recently for passing the, Two Million Radio Plays, mark in the USA. He also has two Hot Press, and two National Entertainment awards. His songs have been recorded by artists Hal Ketchum, Mary Black, Delbert McClinton, Dolores Keane, Christy Moore, to mention a few only.
In 2005 Mick Hanly released his latest album, 'Wish Me Well', and published a book in conjuction with the album ... Wish Me Well/Notes On My Sleeve (Gill & Macmillan).
