Lizanne Knott is based in Philadelphia USA where she has been writing songs (make that, great songs!) and performing them for a considerable number of years and captivating North Eastern American audiences the whiles.

Lizanne has started to come to the notice of discerning ears over this way as well, however, perhaps most notably BBC Radio 2's Bob Harris who says, "We've rarely had as big a reaction to any artist in recent years as that we had for Lizanne Knott! Absolutely gorgeous music." Her star also seems to be in the ascendant with radio listeners around the globe.
In early November 2007 Lizanne was short-listed in The New York Songwriters Circle annual songwriting competition in New York's legendary venue, The Bitter End. Before her song became one of the final 12 (out of over 4000 submitted) it had been reviewed twice by a panel of listeners from the Songwriters Circle (who count some well-known faces like Norah Jones, Suzanne Vega amongst their alumni). Such is the eclectic nature of the contest and so rigorous is the pre-selection process, that The New York Songwriters Circle described the writers of the final songs as, "12 of the best new songwriters in the world".
Seems to us, and numerous others, that Lizanne Knott is one of a number of singer/songwriters who deserve to be household names.
