Stoneyport Associates are proud to announce our association with established London-based agency Alan Bearman Music. Alan represents the cream of the English folk world and beyond. Name Change
The big news item, for us anyway, is the change of the agency's name to Stoneyport Associates which happened a couple of weeks back in mid-January 2007. There's not an awful lot to add to that, except to say that as far the outside world is concerned it's pretty much business as usual. We remain an agency with everything that we have been doing continuing unchanged.
The name change came about because it was felt that the way the business works is more accurately described by the folk who work under the Stoneyport, 'umbrella', being associates. We all do things outwith Stoneyport to earn a living and we come together in various ways as associates to make the agency work as it does.
We hope also that we will be able to create links with other related but independent businesses to allow an exchange of ideas and to possibly collaborate on projects, such as our association with Alan Bearman Music in London (see news item above). We have had enquiries from some other folk already about how this might work for them. Watch this space for future developments!
